Happy cookies✿

Hello, everyone! How've you all been?
I've been well myself, but it's so cold now!
To me, it might as well be Christmas as soon
as it turns this way, haha.

I'm going to an early Christmas party
at the local senior home tomorrow, and
they're having a bingo game to play for presents.
I was thinking,
"What could I give a senior that they'd enjoy?"
And it hit me: cookies, of course!

Moving on to the delicious part...
The first thing you need is Devil's Food Cake mix!
Yes, cake mix.

This is the best part of the cookies!
Who'd ever think to use cake mix? I didn't before these.
You do not follow the directions on the box; remember!

Next, you add  1/2 cup oil, and two eggs:

And of course, you mix it!
Use your hands, and mix it until all the light
brown cake mix is gone. It'll be like dough,
instead of like regular cake-mixed batter.

Now you take a normal sized spoon
(not big and not small)
and roll them in to a ball, like bellow!
Now you might want to put some powder
sugar on your hands so it doesn't make your
hands as sticky; since this recipe requires that
kind of sugar, anyway.

Next, you roll the dough in the powdered sugar!
It's important you cover as much of the cookie
as you can, because it's going to get baked in to
the cookie! Afterwards put them in a cookie sheet
far enough apart so they can cook.

I didn't have a cookie sheet, so I had to
use a cake pan. It didn't bother them, though.

Then set the oven at 375 and let it preheat,
then put them in the over for about 10-15 minutes!
Once time's up, take them out, and let them cool!
You can put them on a plate for your guests,
and you can all share them ♡

Of course, the other option is to put
them in a cute can and give them as Christmas gifts!
Since mine are going to be for other people tomorrow,
that's what I chose to do.

If you try them, let me know
how they turn out!
Mine turned out deliciously,
and even after they've cooled,
they were soft in the middle.

Happy Holidays!

  2. I would love to do this but sadly I don't own an oven. Looks yummy!

By the way, I nominated you for the Liebster Award, I hope you'd do it. Thanks and have a lovely day ahead!
